Idea for the hot summer days: frozen watermelon!

Put the watermelon slices in the freezer for 1 hour.

What?
Pocky is a Japanese snack, which consists of biscuit sticks with a flavored coating. The original Pocky is coated with chocolate, but you also have a lot of variations (e.g. the strawberry one is really popular).

Why?

What?
An egg tart is a sweet pastry which consists of pastry crust filled with egg custard. Well-known are the Hong Kong egg tarts (called dan tat) and the Portuguese style egg tarts.

In the Netherlands you can find egg tarts in Cantonese dim sum restaurants and Asian bakeries (e.g. in Den Haag and Rotterdam).

Snacks in the spotlight! This time the tompouce.

What?
A tompouce or tompoes is a typical Dutch pastry, made of pastry cream and puff pastry covered with (mostly pink) icing.

Graag wil ik je voorstellen aan een van mijn favoriete uitvindingen:
 masking tape!

/ RECIPE: STRAWBERRY CAKE ROLL /

Hierbij een simpel recept voor een lekkere aardbeien cakerol.
Tijd: ca. 30 minuten + 30 minuten koelen

Ingrediënten voor de cake

• 4 eieren
• 100 gram bloem
• 100 gram suiker

Ingrediënten voor de vulling (aardbeiencrème)

• 250 gram zachte roomkaas
• 1/2 bakje aardbeien (250 gram) 
• poedersuiker

Keukengerei

• Oven
• Beslagkom 
• Garde
• Zeefje (voor poedersuiker) 
• Bakplaat en bakpapier
• Schone theedoek
